This exhibition is more than a display of vibrant colour; it is a carefully curated exploration of the creative collision—the moment the internal landscape finds its expression in the external world. \nKeiron Farrow channels a powerful\, almost necessary drive into his canvas\, transforming personal journeys into breathtaking visual narratives. We invite you to join us here at the Rooftop Arts Centre\, where the dynamic energy of his work can be experienced against the backdrop of the city itself. \nTo truly grasp the genesis of this passionate body of work\, we begin by inviting you into his own story: \n\nHOW WE GOT HERE.\nIt all started in 2022 with a trip to New York City\, where a liking for art became a love story and inspiration became a determination to do something with colour and paint. At that point it was just a recurring fever dream… \n \n\nLiterally days before boarding a plane to Paris in 2023\, I committed colour to canvas and was pleasantly surprised with the outcome. Even as I was enjoying some of the greatest works ever painted at The Pompidou Centre\, I couldn’t wait to return to the dining room which had become a makeshift studio\, to get started\, properly. \nSo far\, I haven’t stopped… \nI have certainly shifted and I have returned. Not only have I learnt a great deal about art but more importantly\, I have learnt that what I am capable of\, is beyond anything I thought possible. This exhibition is basically the beginning. The positive outcome of an obsession. An overwhelming wish to capture the fleeting wonder and joy of it all. DESCRIPTION:Ever wanted to capture human expression through bold marks\, vibrant color\, and dynamic mixed media?\nJoin us for an inspiring three-day portrait drawing masterclass at Rooftop Arts\, led by Professional Artist and Tutor Fanoulla Georgiou. \n \nThis course offers an immersive introduction to contemporary portraiture for artists of all levels. \nKnown for her creative use of found materials\, mixed media and her bold\, emotive style\, Fanoulla will guide you through three structured workshops\, each building essential skills in drawing\, mixed media\, and capturing a portraits essence. \n \nDay 1: Introduction to Contemporary Realism.\nYou’ll explore the foundations of contemporary realism\, developing your own style through Fanoulla’s expressive approach. Learn to use key tools\, including brushes\, palette knives\, and paints\, focusing on bold mark-making and varied paint application techniques to create dynamic textures. \nDay 2: Introduction to Portraits and Faces.\nFocusing on observing and processing facial features\, you’ll learn to sense and feel the emotional nuances that bring portraits to life. \nDay 3: Exploring Colour and Texture in Portraits\nYou’ll explore colour theory and texture\, learning to select limited palettes that evoke mood and energy\, inspired by Fanoulla’s vibrant style. Experiment with techniques to achieve uniqueness through abstract mark-making\, blending realism with expressive flourishes to capture a portraits essence. \nThe 3 day package includes all materials and tuition\, alongside a light buffet lunch during each session.
