Jill Hedges is an artist and freelance arts practitioner and has a BA Honours in Fine Art.

Having many interests and a love of working with unusual materials to achieve unexpected outcomes, her artistic practice explores themes of memory, human interaction and emotional responses to outside influences.
Jill enjoys using traditional printmaking and painting techniques, alongside novel methods and innovative materials, to produce art which questions conventional ideas.

Jill was born and brought up in North Manchester. Her artistic nature was evident from an early age, and art and creativity has been a constant throughout her life.
She has created and installed large scale installations and delivered art projects within school settings in the UK and the USA.
Her love of blue hues is a recurring theme and this can be seen in her lino and gelatine prints, paintings, sculptures and children’s books.

Having returned to her artistic practice after a long break, Jill has enjoyed having time back in the studio, getting paint on paper, making experimental pieces and thinking up some new creative possibilities.
