Text As Image

Transform letters and words into bold visual art at Rooftop Arts. Materials, tuition, and lunch included—book your spot for this 3-hour session!

Words become shapes. Letters become art.

What happens when you stop thinking of words simply as something to read, and start seeing them as lines, shapes, patterns and visual forms?

A bold, abstract geometric composition featuring strong contrasts between black, white, and vibrant red shapes. The artwork utilizes sharp lines and block colours to create a modern, graphic aesthetic.

In this fun and inspiring 3-hour workshop, you’ll explore the creative possibilities of typography and discover how letters and words can become the starting point for an artwork of their own.

Through a series of playful, accessible exercises, you’ll experiment with scale, composition, colour and mark-making, transforming familiar letters and words into bold visual compositions.

You don’t need to be an experienced artist — this workshop is suitable for complete beginners as well as those who simply fancy trying something a little different.

All materials are provided. Light afternoon tea included.

Come and discover just how expressive a letter can be!
