A Halloween Life Drawing Experience at Rooftop Arts
Step into the wonderfully dark and theatrical world of Mrs Lovett this Halloween for a very special life drawing workshop at Rooftop Arts!
Join us on Saturday 31st October for an atmospheric afternoon of creativity, inspired by one of the most intriguing characters in gothic musical theatre. With our fabulous live model bringing Mrs Lovett to life through costume and character, you’ll have the opportunity to explore gesture, expression, dramatic lighting, texture and the art of capturing personality on paper.
Whether you’re an experienced artist or simply curious to try life drawing for the first time, this workshop is an opportunity to experiment, develop your skills and discover just how expressive drawing can be. With friendly, supportive tuition throughout, you’ll be encouraged to work in your own style, explore new techniques and enjoy the creative process.
Expect dramatic poses, intriguing details and plenty of inspiration — all within the welcoming, relaxed atmosphere of Rooftop Arts.
And of course, no creative gathering would be complete without a little time to refuel! Your £40 booking includes the live model, expert tuition and lunch.

Step into the colourful and extraordinary world of Frida Kahlo and spend an afternoon exploring one of the most recognisable artists of the 20th century.
Join us at Rooftop Arts for a fun and creative workshop inspired by Frida’s distinctive portraits, vibrant colours, Mexican heritage and fascinating use of symbolism.
Throughout the afternoon, you’ll be encouraged to draw, sketch and paint Frida, exploring her instantly recognisable features and experimenting with flowers, foliage, animals, pattern and symbolism to create your own unique artwork.
You don’t need to be an experienced artist – this workshop is suitable for all levels, including complete beginners. Whether you love drawing, enjoy painting, or simply fancy trying something completely different, you’ll be guided through the process step by step in a relaxed and friendly environment.
And because no Frida-inspired afternoon would be complete without a little Mexican flavour, we’ll also enjoy a light Mexican-inspired lunch together!

Fancy starting your Thursday with a little creativity, good company and a lovely breakfast? 
Perhaps you’ve always wanted to learn to draw but never quite knew where to start. Or maybe you’ve simply forgotten how much you enjoyed being creative.
This friendly, relaxed class is designed especially for complete beginners, with no previous experience needed. You’ll be guided step-by-step through the fundamentals of drawing, helping you build confidence and develop new skills at your own pace.
And because drawing is even better with coffee and a little something to eat, we’ll start the morning with a light breakfast, giving you time to settle in, chat and meet other budding artists.
There’s no pressure and no expectation to be “good at drawing” — just come along, have a go and enjoy some creative time for yourself.
