The Power of Monochrome

The Power of Monochrome

You don’t need a rainbow of colours to create breathtaking art.

Join professional artist and tutor Fanoulla Georgiou for an inspiring afternoon exploring the striking beauty of monochrome painting. Using only black and white acrylic paint, you’ll discover how contrast, texture and light can transform a blank canvas into a powerful mountain landscape filled with atmosphere and drama.

Designed especially for beginners, this relaxed, step-by-step workshop will guide you through every stage of the creative process. You’ll also experiment with simple collage techniques, adding torn paper and texture to create depth and character within your painting.

A dramatic, high-contrast monochrome photograph of layered, misty mountain ranges. A solitary, silhouetted tree stands on a dark ridge in the foreground, perfectly capturing the moody aesthetic of the landscape painting workshop.

“Sometimes the most powerful paintings are created with the simplest palette.”

By the end of the afternoon, you’ll leave with a finished piece of artwork to be proud of, along with new skills and the confidence to continue your creative journey.
