New Outdoor Wall Art at the Rooftop

Corby's industrial past depicted in new mural with modern touch.

Have You Seen Our New Mural Yet ?

Local artist Gary Carroll is in the process of painting a very large mural on the side of the Rooftop Arts Centre at 27 New Post Office Sq. in Corby.  The large scale art work is being drawn by hand, in acrylic paint and measures some 8 x10 feet high.

He has been working on the piece for the last few days which is now starting to take shape and become more recognizable every day.  His work has caught the attention of many people passing by who have stopped to admire the work, speak to the artist, and to keep him supplied with cups of hot coffee in the cooler weather we have experienced this week. The mural is loosely based on Corby’s industrial past with some modern influences.

Gary expects the work to take around 7 more days to complete and will form part of the permanent collection of the Rooftop Art Centre.  It will be seen by hundreds of people passing by each day on their way to and from Corby Town Centre.  Why not take some time to pass by and meet the artist next time in Corby.
